As a rule, training programs have good intentions but lack the depth to fully train and develop stable, loyal employees. Remember you can recruit and hire the best person but you can also destroy the them without an effective training program.
As we will discuss in the financial controls module, employee turnover, training, hiring, firing, and retraining is time consuming and expensive. This constant rotation process is also demoralizing to your existing employees. In order to maintain a consistent level of quality food and service, your staff must be stable and well trained. They will need to work with each other regularly in order to grow together as a team. Teams can bear down when parts of the team keep getting replaced. Proper training does not guarantee that your team will be successful, but a lack of training will guarantee its failure.
