A generic restaurant manual designed for restaurateurs who do not have
the resources of a large corporation to provide them with an operations manual.
The following is an excerpt from the section listed below:
Schedules are posted each Wednesday for the following week. Under NO circumstances are employees allowed to change their own schedule! The Manager must personally make any and all schedule changes. The Manager will attempt to arrange the work schedule so that it will not interfere with personal activities, within reason.
EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE; REPORTING TO & LEAVING WORK
A. Employees must report to work on time. (Example: No clocking in early or clocking out late unless requested to do so by Management). If an emergency arises and the employee cannot report to work, he/she must give the Manager as much notice as possible so adjustments can be made to the store schedule.
