A generic restaurant manual designed for restaurateurs who do not have

Bacteria grow or multiply exponentially. Thus, one cell divides to form two, two become four, etc. Bacteria can divide as fast as every eight minutes! In very short order, the bacteria can multiply into extremely large quantities. For example, in just 24 hours, one cell of bacteria can multiply into 4,720,000,000,000,000,000 bacteria 4.72 quintillion! Yet it does not take 24 hours or large numbers of bacteria to be a problem. In some cases, only a few bacteria are needed to have serious consequences.
