PURPOSES OF EMPLOYMENT INTERVIEW
The three purposes of an employment interview are:
To receive information (information gathering phase). You are going to determine if the applicant meets the qualifications for the position available.
To give information (information giving phase). The applicant wants to determine if the position you have available matches their occupational interests.
Start a line of communication. If they become an employee, open two-way communication is very important. Even if the applicant is not suitable as a employee, you are talking to a potential customer who is living near your store so treat them with respect.
