CRIME REPORT (CR)

When is the CR used?

The Crime Report, CR is the official written record of a loss event incurred by a restaurant.

File a CR with the owner within 48 hours after the occurrence of the following:

Robbery, irrespective of the loss amount.
Burglary, irrespective of the loss amount
Thefts, including mysterious disappearances and missing deposits, when the loss is over $50.00
Vandalism, when the damage is over $100.00
Arson, irrespective of the loss amount
Injury to a customer or employee from criminal action occurring in the restaurant or on the parking lot.

File a CR anytime a written police report is filed. Include pertinent information such as police case number, assigned investigator, telephone number, and suspect information.
